Certior Credit Opportunities Fund II SCSp shortlisted at the Alternative Credit European Performance Awards 2021

HELSINKI – Certior Capital is delighted to announce that Certior Credit Opportunities Fund II SCSp (CCOF II) has been nominated as a finalist in the Alternative Credit European Performance Awards 2021 in the category of private debt – specialty finance. This award is for the best private debt fund for specialty strategies and is judged by a panel of industry experts based on submitted IRRs and other marketing or investor materials. Preference is given to funds with a clear differentiated focus, and a scalable model, and taking into account the manager’s ability to source deals and extract added value.

The lack of institutional capital in this segment compared to the highly competitive market for larger sponsored loans means we are able to produce very attractive risk-adjusted returns. Todate the fund is strongly outperforming its initial return target of 8–10% net to investors across a diversified pan-European portfolio of 100+ senior secured loans”, he adds. “Thanks to the unique network and dealflow we have built up over many years we continue to see a lot of opportunity in this segment, both in cornerstoning new funds from emerging managers and in co-investments, and will therefore shortly be launching the successor fund, Certior Credit Opportunities Fund III SCSp”.

This recognition for CCOF II follows on from Certior’s nomination earlier in the year as a finalist in the Private Equity Awards 2021 in the category of “Special Situations House of the Year”. The Private Equity Awards 2021 “Recognising the Best in European Private Equity” are now in their 20th year and are the longest running and most prestigious private equity awards in Europe. The winners for both awards will be announced in September.
